SACRISTANS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Care for the sacred spaces, vessels and objects at St. Thomas More Church - such as the tabernacle, candles, linens, and more

QUALIFICATIONS

Love for God's house of worship and desire to keep it in the best and most reverent condition

TIME COMMITMENT

Choose to serve weekly, monthly, or quarterly, or as a substitute

RESPONSIBILITIES

Arranging flowers
Cleaning sacred vessels
Decorating for Easter/Christmas, etc.
Polishing
Refilling supplies
Replacing candles
Some tasks are done weekly or monthly, and others are seasonal, such as decorating the church.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Training is one-to-one for initial orientation 
Practice opportunities will be offered regularly by an experienced sacristan
