Student Leadership Team
Student leaders volunteer to help make the Newman Center a home away from home for the students of the University of Oregon, Lane Community College, and Bushnell University.
We want our students to have a fun, faith-filled experience and build friendships that last a lifetime. SALT members will have the opportunity to grow in leadership skills and style. You will be given opportunities to make a difference by living your faith at the service of others. SALT members recruit other students to form sub-committees and delegate responsibilities and work within various ministries. SALT works as a team and helps to shape a memorable college experience! Thus, serving on SALT takes commitment, hard work and flexibility with your schedule.
The Newman Center will provide leadership training at the Dominican Institute of Student Ministers (DISM) in Oakland, California. The next leadership training will be July 28-August 1, 2022 and you are strongly encouraged to attend this all expenses paid road trip. This is a wonderful time for new and returning SALT members to bond together as a team. We always have a great time and look forward to the exciting opportunities in the coming school year.
