HOSPITALITY - USHERS AND GREETERS
ROLE DESCRIPTION
welcome students, families, and stranger at Mass; to create a positive experience for people, and to offer a safe and comfortable environment
QUALIFICATIONS
A friendly disposition and clean, modest appearance
A genuine desire to help people feel welcomed and connected
Being able to commuicate efficiently one-on-one and in large groups

TIME COMMITMENT
Be able to arrive 15 minutes before the start of Mass, and remain 15 minutes after Mass. Term length: 6months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Offer a friendly warm handshakes, welcoming presence to those coming to worship; answering questions that people have, to provide leadership during emergencies; and to perform such tasks as taking up the collection, presenting the gifts, assisting parishioners during Communion and disseminating the church bulletin, and wishing them a fond farewell.
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
On the job training throughout the year
Additional training will take place from time to time
Practice opportunities will occur before all special seasonal Masses
