Currently we are offering public Masses for 25 people or less, Tuesday through Friday at 5:15pm, Saturday at 5:00pm, and Sunday at 11:00. Beginning in June, we will at the Sunday at 7:30pm Mass. Your attendance still must be preauthorized.
What time do we arrive for Mass? We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to Mass to start to allow for you to be led to your seat.
How will we know where to sit? Someone will be available to escort visitors to the appropriate chair in accordance with social distancing recommendations.
Is the Church going to be sanitized? The Church will be sanitized before and after each Mass.
Are face masks required? Face masks are not required in the Church but as a courtesy, we suggest all visitors wear face masks. Anyone singing must wear a mask.
Will missals be provided during Mass? To reduce the spread of infection, missals will not be provided at Mass.
Will there be Holy Communion? Yes. Communion will be permitted; it is recommended you receive in the hand. Those receiving on the tongue are advised to visit the end of the communion line to reduce exposure, as recommended by the Archdiocese of Portland.
Am I required to come to Mass? The dispensation granted to the faithful by the Archdiocese of Portland remains in effect until further notice in virtue of Canon 87. The faithful are bound to keep holy the Sabbath by abstaining from unnecessary work.We encourage those with underlying health conditions, the elderly, and those experiencing symptoms to refrain from attending public Mass at this time.
Will there be an offertory collection? Yes. Offertory will be collected in a basket when you arrive at the Church. There will not be an offertory collection during Mass.
Is the restroom available? Yes, but we recommend that you limit your restroom use for sanitation reasons.
What about kids? Children will not be allowed unaccompanied by an adult.
What about watching a recorded Mass? Mass will continue to be Live Streamed on Saturdays on our YouTube Channel: UONewmanLive
