The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a process of prayer, reflection and study that teaches participants about the Roman Catholic faith, possibly leading to full Christian initiation in the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil.
Here at the Newman Center our gatherings are non-threatening and relaxing. Your participation in the OCIA program is a time of study and reflection that allows you plenty of time to consider becoming Catholic. OCIA is for those who are not baptized, for those baptized in another faith or for baptized Catholics who have not received the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation.
