Parish Advent Retreat with Fr. Bart Hutcherson, O.P. Saturday, Dec 9th
"Waiting to Receive Jesus: the Holy Eucharist and Advent"
Advent is a time for us to prepare for the coming of the Lord Jesus at Christmas. A parish retreat is a great opportunity to help us refocus on what is important to us, including our life of faith.
Fr. Bart Hutcherson, O.P., will be directing the retreat. Fr. Bart is an experienced campus minister, who preaches parish missions throughout the western United States, and teaches preaching at the DSPT, the Western Dominican Province’s school in Berkeley.
The day will begin at 9:30 am with coffee & pastries and our morning conference, followed by lunch (provided by Newman), an afternoon conference, adoration from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, which is a time for personal reflection and the opportunity to go to confession. The day will end with Fr. Bart preaching and celebrating the 5:00 pm Vigil Mass.
